Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Helen Bell, B.Sc., D.V.M.
Dr. Bell earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 1984. Helen has worked in exclusively feline practices since 1987 and finds feline medicine and surgery a stimulating, fascinating and ever-changing field of work. Her particular interests are internal medicine, including cancer care, feline geriatrics and chronic disease management. Helen is a member of the Canadian and B.C. Veterinary Medical Associations, American Association of Feline Practitioners and the American Animal Hospital Association. At home, she has two sister cats named Twinkle and Turbolina, a husband, two children and keeps busy in her off hours with running and community involvement.

Meghan Quast, RAHT
Meghan began working at the Pacific Cat Clinic when she moved to Vancouver Island in 2010. She brings along 13 years of experience in the animal health and wellness industry. Meghan has been employed all over BC and Alberta and has experience in all types of clinic settings. She has worked with exotic animals such as penguins and flamingos, as well as domestic pets such as cats and dogs. She also has experience working with eagles and seals. Fortunately for us, Meghan has chosen to focus her attention on the feline species for now, and brings knowledge and leadership to our team. Meghan has a cat, Sarah, and a Great Pyrenese dog, Tucker.
Melissa Boston, RAHT
Melissa started at the Pacific Cat Clinic in July 2011. She is a new graduate from Thompson Rivers University where she obtained her Animal Health Technology Degree. Melissa has always had an interest in science and well-being, and decided to combine this with her passion for animals.
Christel Federow, AHT
Christel's love of animals had her volunteering at local SPCA shelters from a young age. She then discovered the Veterinary Technician program in Kamloops. After graduating in 2004, she worked and traveled in England before coming home to the Vancouver Area. She found herself in Victoria after her fiancee was transferred for work. Christel enjoys Victoria very much with her toddler, Lauren, Staffordshire Terrier, Rocco, and special kitty, Sweetie.
Jennifer Graham, RAHT Jennifer has been with us since May 2011. We welcomed her to our team after her graduation from Ceneca College, Toronto, and continually benefit from her knowledge and enthusiasm. Ever since childhood Jennifer has had horses, cats and dogs, and her love for her own pets led her to a career working with animals.
Beverly Armstrong
Beverly is currently completing her Animal Health Technology Degree through Thompson Rivers University distant education program. Upon completion, she is interested in focusing her career not only on cats, but on dogs and horses as well. She has 13 years of animal care experience and is one of our most compassionate employees. Ever since childhood, Beverly has understood the animal-human bond and continually taken in animals in need. She has a cat named Riot, a dog named Faith, and a horse named Goblyn.
Animal Health Assistants & Office Management
Kristin Zajackowski Kristin has been with the clinic for many years and is one of the key members of the team with extensive knowledge of most of the clinic activities and procedures. She is currently studying to become a veterinarian in Saskatoon, but still helps out at the clinic on her holidays and reading breaks.
Margaret Kruysifix
Margaret joined the Pacific Cat Clinic Team in 2009. Along with her excellent customer care skills, Margaret brings with her a background in health and nutrition. Following 20 years of nutritional counseling in people, Margaret decided to shift her focus to pets! She is knowledgeable with vitamins, herbs, minerals, amino acids and nutritional supplements. Margaret has adopted two kittens from our rescue program, named Leo and Dexter. She takes pride in client education regarding the importance of spaying and neutering our four-legged friends.
Elaine Topolnisky
Elaine joined the Pacific Cat Clinic in April 2011. She has always had a love for animals and a desire to work with them. While traveling in South East Asia, Elaine volunteered at a number of animal rescue agencies and realized the demand for veterinarians worldwide. While in Malaysia, she rescued a kitten named Scout, who now lives with her in Victoria. Elaine has just competed her Bachelor of Health Science Degree and has applied to Vet school in Australia. If all goes well, she will be moving Scout and her two husky dogs overseas in March.
Morgan Klieber Morgan joined our team in December of 2011 bringing with her a strong background in customer service. She has a tuxedo cat named Max, who has taught her the importance of pet care and has been a patient at Pacific Cat Clinic for 14 years. When she’s not in the clinic or studying at UVic, Morgan enjoys cat visiting and cat sitting for clients and friends.
Laura Evans Laura is the newest member of our team. She joined the clinic in January 2011 as a co-op student from the UVic Business program. She has a strong background in customer service and management. Laura has a tabby cat named Monty and a rescue dog named Sadie.
Clinic Support Staff
Janet Jewell Janet has been working at the Pacific Cat Clinic since September 2010. Her love for kitties and her helping hand has been greatly appreciated each and every day. Janet works as our clinic support assistant and ensures each animal is fed, loved and content while they stay with us. Janet provides an upbeat spark to the clinic and a heart-warming smile. She has a cat named Ming-Li who she rescued from the Cat’s Cradle Foundation.
